True love prevails in A week prior to the show’s opening, cast members held a surprise flash mob performance in the cafeteria during a lunch period as a marketing tool to invoke student interest. he cast and crew of Mamma Mia! brought the house down with its four performances in late March. A cast of 35 students performed, danced, and grooved to the well-known pop songs of ABBA in a modern-day musical set on the fictional Greek island of Kalokairi. The musical opened as guests descended on the island to a taverna owned and operated by single mother Donna Sheridan. The visitors are arriving for the wedding of Donna’s 20-year old daughter Sophie to her fiancé Sky. Three of the guests are architect Sam Carmichael, banker Harry Bright, and sailor Bill Austin, former boyfriends of Donna. Unknown to her, Sophie invited the men after secretly reading Donna’s diary and discovering they were involved in her mother’s life around the time she was conceived. Sophie surmises that one of the men must be her dad and she has dreamed of having her father walk her down the aisle to give her away at her wedding. Unfortunately, when the 4 3 28 CARLYNTON 1.
