Simple Fitness– You Want
Exercise How You Want When
I
f you’re busy like most people, before or after work isn’t always the
best time to get in a workout. Kids need to be fed, picked up and
dropped off, chores pile up, and you still have last week’s shows
sitting on your DVR waiting to be watched. By the time you get all that
done, chances are the gym’s closed for the day and you swear you’ll get
up extra early tomorrow to make up for it, but when does that happen?
Fortunately, Simple Fitness in Moon has the answer – a 24-hour
facility where you call the shots on when you want to go and what
you want your workout to be like. Started earlier this year by Laura
Bingham, a veteran fitness enthusiast who holds a masters in Exercise
Science, Simple Fitness is a new take on the old exercise routine.
“By no means is it a traditional gym,” Laura said. “We offer ‘Fitness
on Demand,’ which is a system that offers over 100 class options
on demand ranging from yoga, Pilates, cycling, cardio, Zumba-like,
kettlebell , and strength training classes. All the equipment is provided
in the studio rooms. Fitness on Demand features ‘Daily Burn’ workouts,
which are well known in the fitness industry. Cycling classes have the
state-of-the-art cycling bikes by Life Cycle, calibration calculation, and
you can choose to Cycle with an instructor or take the scenic route
through Canada, Maine, Ireland, Colorado,
and more.”
Users choose what classes they’re
looking for from a touch-screen menu. Their
selection is then projected to a big screen
for them to follow. Classes last anywhere
from 15 minutes to an hour. Each class is
easy to follow and ranked Easy, Standard or
Advanced in ability level. Basically, if you’ve
ever ordered made-to-order food, or used the
self-checkout in a store, you will be right at
home at Simple Fitness.
With two studios, Laura takes requests from members to create a
schedule, so she can have the members decide what needs scheduling
when. The options are endless. “If you’re the kind of person who wants
to join a scheduled class, that’s great! If you want structure, requesting
classes is the easiest way to guarantee your class will be played at a
certain time,” Laura said. The goal is to have fun and try something new
in a non-judgmental environment! The classes are listed on the website,
and requests are taken at the gym. Classes are structured to be smaller
in nature, with one to eight participants in each.
A third room allows members to warm up or add to their workout
with state-of-the-art cardio by Octane, and a strength training machine
that you can target all your muscle groups on one machine with a
touch-screen guide.
The beauty of all these options is you can make your workout your
own. You can pick a series of classes to make your workout, warm up
on cardio machine then do a class, or use cardio machine and use the
strength training machine. Workouts are not meant to be one-size-fitsall, so Laura chose options so you can get the best workout for YOU!
What’s more, the Fitness on Demand is constantly being updated, with
four to six new classes added each month. New classes are posted in
each studio and on the website!
You’ll also find that membership to Simple Fitness is not only
affordable, with sign-up specials available, but has a month-to-month
payment structure, so there’s no need for a contract locking you into
years of service that you may not use.
Members get a keyless entry card that lets
them into the facility at all hours, whether the
facility is staffed or not. For security, Simple
