If students collected $500 or more, he would allow members of NJHS to duct tape him to the cafeteria wall during a homeroom period. Within a few weeks, the goal was met, and at 7:00 am on Monday morning in May, dozens of students gathered in the cafeteria to watch as the principal was taped to the wall.
