Dr. Idema completed her undergraduate studies at Gettysburg College and Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She went on to receive her medical degree and Orthopaedic surgical residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her spine surgical fellowship at The Spine Institute of Arizona with a particular emphasis on minimally invasive procedures and motion preservation. Dr. Idema has been a long-standing member of the North American Spine Society and American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, as well as a number of other spine and orthopedic societies.
