monument honoring Robinson’s veterans of

Township Historical Society
will unveil a monument that
honors local veterans who fought in the
Revolutionary War.
The granite marker will be dedicated
on Veterans Day at the American Legion
War Memorial Plaza on Steubenville Pike
and pay tribute to 47 men from Robinson
Township. A second marker will be installed
next year to honor three soldiers from the
area who fought in the French and Indian
War between 1754-1763, and a third marker
will recognize a dozen veterans from the War
of 1812.
“We’re putting our missing pieces
together,” explains Joseph Martelli, the
historical society’s projects coordinator.
“That’s what we’re embarking on.”
