NEIGHBOR 2 NEIGHBOR OF SOUTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA
Neighbor 2 Neighbor of Southwestern Pennsylvania( N2N) is a 501( c)( 3) nonprofit organization uniting churches, nonprofits, and local partners to serve families in need through practical acts of love and compassion. Founded on the belief that the community is strongest when it works together, N2N exists to bridge needs and resources so that no neighbor faces hardship alone.
Based out of Washington, PA, N2N coordinates outreach efforts across five counties— Washington, Greene, Fayette, Beaver, and Allegheny— by mobilizing hundreds of volunteers and dozens of partner organizations. Each event is designed not only to meet immediate needs but also to create meaningful connections that lead to long-term transformation.
Signature programs include:
• Coats for Kids – Distributing thousands of new winter coats to children each fall through more than two dozen community sites.
• Loads of Love – Providing free laundry services, hygiene kits, and prayer support for families facing financial hardship.
• Ciarra’ s Community Christmas Giveaway – A joyful, Christcentered celebration providing toys, meals, and resources for hundreds of families each December.
• Under the Bridge and The Table Outreaches – Monthly gatherings that offer food, hygiene products, and access to local service providers.
In 2024 – 2025, N2N and its partners served more than 2,000 children and their families through coat distributions, hygiene drives, and collaborative events such as Unite the City with K-LOVE Radio, which brought together more than 30 churches and 20 nonprofits in one day of service and worship.
What makes Neighbor 2 Neighbor unique is its commitment to collaboration. Every outreach is a team effort, combining the strength of local ministries, nonprofits, businesses, and volunteers who share a common goal: to demonstrate the love of Jesus in tangible, lifechanging ways. N2N provides structure, coordination and resources so that everyone— from large corporations to small congregations— can play a meaningful role in serving their neighbors.
As Executive Director Bill Burns often says,“ We’ re not just giving things away; we’ re giving people a reason to hope.”
Whether it’ s a warm coat, a prayer, or a new connection to vital services, every interaction is an opportunity to remind people that they are seen, valued, and loved.
