The Washington County Cultural Trust ( WCCT ) recently celebrated the ribbon cutting of The Roberts Stone House , the oldest home in Canonsburg and last remaining building associated with Jefferson College , the first college west of the Allegheny Mountains .
The WCCT team will start Phase II of the renovations in January with a mission to recreate this significant historical property into an upscale venue for VIP parties , weddings , board meetings , museum and perhaps a store offering Canonsburg and Roberts House merchandise .
Through the passion and work of the WCCT team , borough , county and state officials , The Roberts House will be restored to its former glory and become an attraction for the county and beyond .
