Staff Retirements
2018 was a year of transition for the Township staff, with a combined
100 years of experience retiring. Not only did Frank Siffrinn retire after 25
years of service as Township Manager, but Beverly Pabian (Administrative
Assistant), Steve Mayne (Building Maintenance), and Margaret Householder
(Planning Coordinator) all retired after many years of dedicated service to
our residents.
Beverly Pabian started in the Township’s accounting department in
September of 1992. Eventually, she transitioned to the administrative staff
where she was a friendly and helpful presence to all she came in contact
with. If you had a problem with your garbage, Bev helped you. If you
needed a contact with a local utility, Bev helped you. Bev would help in any
way she could to ensure residents’ needs were being met.
Steve Mayne kept the Township Building, Police Department, and Public
Works building squeaky clean over his 15 years with the Township. He was
an organized asset who truly did the dirty work around our buildings. Steve
made sure meeting rooms were set up to spec and that the public always
felt welcomed to a clean and tidy Township Building.
Margaret Householder started in a part-time capacity in 1984 and
began her full-time career in 1988; 34 years of total service in a variety of
capacities. Margie kept the administrative wheels moving throughout the
Township during her time here. She also volunteered a great deal of time
with the Parks Board and cleans our Pavilions to this day. Her final two
years she brought organization and accountability to the Planning and
Zoning Department in her role as Planning Coordinator. Margie’s depth of
institutional knowledge will be missed.
Many thanks to these three individuals for their years of service,
professionalism, and dedication to the residents and taxpayers of North
Strabane Township!
