We are proud to announce the addition of Anthony Asciolla as the Planning Coordinator for North Strabane. Anthony joins us after serving as a Code Enforcement and Zoning Officer with the Borough of Baldwin since 2014. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Duquesne University and an M.P.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. Presently, he serves as President of Commonwealth Building Officials and is working towards his certification in planning. As Planning Coordinator he will represent the Township at meetings of the Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board. Anthony will serve as the point person with the development community, ensuring all relevant rules and regulations are followed. Anthony’s knowledge and dedication will be an asset in ensuring future growth is completed in a responsible, common-sense manner. Not only did Frank Siffrinn retire after 25 years of service as Township Manager, but Beverly Pabian (Administrative Assistant), Steve Mayne (Building Maintenance), and Margaret Householder (Planning Coordinator) all retired after many years of dedicated service to our residents. Beverly Pabian started in the Township’s accounting department in September of 1992. Eventually, she transitioned to the administrative staff where she was a friendly and helpful presence to all she came in contact with. If you had a problem with your garbage, Bev helped you. If you needed a contact with a local utility, Bev helped you. Bev would help in any way she could to ensure residents’ needs were being met. Steve Mayne kept the Township Building, Police Department, and Public Works building squeaky clean over his 15 years with the Township. He was an organized asset who truly did the dirty work around our buildings. Steve made sure meeting rooms were set up to spec and that the public always felt welcomed to a clean and tidy Township Building. Margaret Householder started in a part-time capacity in 1984 and began her full-time career in 1988; 34 years of total service in a variety of capacities. Margie kept the administrative wheels moving throughout the Township during her time here. She also volunteered a great deal of time with the Parks Board and cleans our Pavilions to this day. Her final two years she brought organization and accountability to the Planning and Zoning Department in her role as Planning Coordinator. Margie’s depth of institutional knowledge will be missed. Many thanks to these three individuals for their years of service, professionalism, and dedication to the residents and taxpayers of North Strabane Township!
