The David McKibben Rose Expo will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 1 to 3 p. m. at the Whitehall Borough Building Community Room, offering visitors a chance to enjoy stunning displays and learn more about rose growing and care.
RIVAL TEAMS COME TOGETHER FOR MORGAN’ S MESSAGE
On March 13, Confluence Stadium hosted a meaningful and spirited event as Canon-Mac and rival Peters Township came together for a cause bigger than competition.
The girls lacrosse teams faced off in a game dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Morgan’ s Message, an organization focused on supporting student-athlete mental health.
The atmosphere was electric, blending the intensity of rivalry with a shared commitment to an important mission. Fans from both communities filled the stands, showing strong support not only for their teams but also for mental health advocacy.
At halftime, the focus shifted to the future of the sport, as each school’ s youth lacrosse programs took the field for a lively relay race. The young athletes brought energy and excitement, reminding everyone of the strong community foundation behind the game.
The evening began with a powerful speech from Laura Baden of Earn the Edge, who emphasized the importance of mental health awareness among studentathletes. Her words set a reflective tone, encouraging players, coaches and spectators alike to prioritize well-being alongside performance.
Ultimately, the event showcased how sports can unite rivals for a greater purpose, leaving a lasting impact that extended far beyond the final score.

SUCCESSFUL 7TH ANNUAL GOLF OUTING
WOMEN of Southwestern Pennsylvania held its 7th annual golf outing May 4 at Valley Brook Country Club, bringing together 116 golfers and 27 sponsors in support of its mission to help women and children in need throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania.
The organization’ s leaders expressed gratitude to the sponsors, participants and volunteers who made the event possible.

LABOURÉ LADIES GUILD TO HOLD ANNUAL FLEA MARKET
The Labouré Ladies Guild of St. Catherine Labouré Parish will hold its annual flea market,“ Timeless Treasures,” July 16-17.
It will be open from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. Saturday, at St. Louise de Marillac Church in the LeGras Parish Center( lower level), 320 McMurray Road in Upper St. Clair.
Sale items will include jewelry, gently used children’ s clothing to size 6, toys, decorative items, knickknacks, kitchen items, holiday decorations, linens, tools, books, some furniture and much more. There will also be a boutique offering better-quality items.
Note that due to fire safety regulations, strollers are not permitted inside LeGras Parish Center.
JOIN THE WOMEN’ S GOLF LEAGUE OF MT. LEBANON
The Women’ s Golf League of Mt. Lebanon invites women of all ages and skill levels to join for the 2026 season, which began in April and continues through September.
Annual league membership is $ 27. Applicants should have some knowledge of the game and its rules prior to joining.
The league plays nine holes on Tuesday mornings, teeing off between 7:15 and 9:30 a. m., with a host there to assist in creating foursomes.
