Canonsburg Hospital is the first in western Pennsylvania to achieve Pathway to Excellence ® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center . The designation recognizes health care organizations for their commitment to creating a healthy and positive work environment that empowers nurses . There are currently only 211 Pathway hospitals around the world .
