planned! We
will be having
a Range
Resources
Kids Zone,
a Beer
and Wine Garden, Car Cruise, and
fireworks by DnT at dark! And Ruff
Creek will be performing. Please join
us for this exciting event.
On July 14, 2018
the North Strabane
annual Touch a
Truck will be held
from 10 am – 12
pm. Hot dogs and refreshments will be
provided.
We still have two movies for the
summer. July 21, 2018, we will be
showing Honey I Shrunk the Kids.
Movies start at dark. Complimentary
popcorn and drinks will be provided
and the concession stand will also be
open! We will end the summer movie
program with a back to school movie
night, Wonder, on August 18, 2018.

EARTH DAY 2018
North Strabane Park is
excited to announce
that we are still hosting
a Farmer’s Market
every Tuesday 3:30-
7:00 p.m. thru October. If
you would like to be a vendor,
please contact Lisa Sheehan at
412.721.0902. Can’t wait to see you in
the Park!
Jennifer Trottier organized an Earth
Day event on April 22nd. Sponsors
of the event were Keep PA Beautiful,
which donated activity books for the
kids and items for a swag bag which
was given to participants, Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation, which
provided the vests, bags, gloves and
signs. Kona Ice, provided frozen treats
to participants and to all
the children in the Park
at that time. Coldwell
Banker, provided a
tent, bottled water
and items for swag
bags, and Range
Resources, who provided
the swag bags. Our Parks Board
partnered with Jennifer. Assistance
with traffic control was supplied by our
Police Department. Twenty-five to 30
bags of trash were collected on Route
519. This will be an annual event.
North Strabane Township

$1,000 scholarships
to the following 2018
graduating seniors

This is the eighth year that North Strabane
Township has participated in the scholarship
program and it plans to award scholarships again
in 2019. Interested seniors, who are Township
residents, should contact the Guidance Office
to obtain the necessary information to apply for
one of these Scholarships.
