ears of academic study for students composing the Class of 2018
culminated June 7 when its 393 members graduated.
The commencement ceremony was held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
at CMHS Auditorium, and featured speeches from administrators and top
students alike.
Both Superintendent Michael Daniels and high school Principal Dave
Helinski congratulated the members of this year's CMHS class—lauding their
hard work and commitment to learning.
"I want to wish the best of luck to all of the members of the Class of 2018,"
Daniels said. "It's my sincere hope that the lessons they learned, the passions
they discovered, and the skills they crafted here at Canon-McMillan will help
propel them into happy careers and lives."
Helinksi echoed the statement.
"I know I say this with each class, but these graduating seniors weren't just
my students—they were like my kids," he said. "I wish them all the success in
the world."
