FRANK SARRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY EDUCATION FOR ALL A message from Peggy Tseng, Library Director Dear Friends, Spring greetings from the Frank Sarris Public Library! Last November, the library held its annual fundraising luncheon at the Valley Brook Country Club. Thanks to Mrs. Sarris and all our supporters, the event was a resounding success. Following this good fortune, we have many Peggy Tseng, Library Director interesting and exciting events planned for you in 2019.   First, Adam Miller, a folk singer, storytelling and autoharp virtuoso, will appear in a special performance at the library on Wednesday, May 15, at 6 p.m. With his unique talent of bringing history, music and storytelling to life, Adam travels every year on a national tour. Thanks to a generous donor, we are also able to bring Adam Miller to a few large groups of schoolchildren in our service area.    Next, our highly anticipated summer reading programs will be kicked off on June 24. In keeping with this year’s theme of Space, the 2019 Summer Reading slogan will be “A Universe of Stories.” It’s no coincidence that this summer will also mark the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing.   To top off our summer events, we will be holding our first-ever FSPL Fan Fest, our Comic Convention on Saturday, August 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be a free admission event. More details will follow. In the meantime, plan your costumes! You never know who will show up at the FSPL Fan Fest. I hope you share my excitement and I will look for you at the library!
