CLARK RENOVATIONS
hen the Welch family from North
Strabane Township decided they needed
more space in their kitchen, they turned
to Clark Renovations once again to meet
their needs. Clark had increased their living
space several years earlier by converting their
attached garage into a family room. This time
around, the homeowners were looking to add
a sunroom/dining area and reconfigure the
kitchen to maximize the use of the new space.
“This is our specialty,” says Steve Clark,
President of Clark Renovations. “We are
very good at combining room additions with
existing space to provide a seamless solution.
Our goal is to make it nearly impossible to
identify where the new space was added.”
Ron Clark, Vice President, worked with the
Welches to capture their ideas and transform
them into an optimized layout, with both visual
appeal, and full functionality. “We were able to
take an existing 8 by 15-foot porch and close it
in, while maintaining the existing roof,” states
Ron. Pella windows and a French door were
used along with siding to match the existing
structure. The paver patio was removed and
reconstructed around the new living space.
Schrock’s of Walnut Creek cabinetry was
combined with DuPont Corian countertops
and Porcelain Impressions flooring to create an
inviting space that will serve the
homeowners for years to come.
A dark walnut stain and raisedpanel square doors were selected
for the fine cabinetry, while
lighter flooring and Granola
countertops provide contrast.
A Corian bowl and one-half
seamless sink was used to ease
cleanup and the Kohler Evoke
faucet in vibrant stainless steel
provides a little “bling.”

A six-drawer “pull-out pantry” rests next to
the refrigerator adjacent to deep-base drawers
useful for storing cookware. A tray rack and
double waste/recycle drawer also help keep
things in this kitchen organized. A large center
island with three curved sides provides ample
space for food preparation and casual dining. A
custom-designed display/storage unit rests on
the wall opposite the refrigerator and provides
a focal point.
Clark Renovations is based in the South
Hills of Pittsburgh and offers new customers
design/build services for windows, doors,
kitchens and baths. A showroom is located at
3180 Industrial Blvd. in Bethel Park and offers
several display areas designed to inspire you. As
a Kohler-registered showroom, it offers a large
selection of fixtures and accessories.
“One of the advantages of doing business
with Clark Renovations is that you can make
all of the selections necessary for your entire
project right in our showroom. We don’t send
our customers all over town tracking down
individual components,” claims Steve.
He continues, “Another distinct advantage
we offer is that we have our own, full-time
craftsmen, who are responsible for every aspect
of the job. We don’t rely on subcontracted
help to manage our projects. While we do
use subcontractors for items like
plumbing and electrical, our size
provides us with a lot of clout.
Our trades partners are where we
need them, when we need them!”
