Adult Programs
FSPL Book Club Second Wednesday of every month at 1 p. m. Our group chooses a mix of fiction and nonfiction books, including New York Times bestsellers. The October pick is James by Percival Everett. In November, we will read The All-Girls Filling Station’ s Last Reunion by Fannie Flagg.
( New!) FSPL Silent Book Club Third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p. m. Join us for a relaxing and judgmentfree reading experience as part of the Silent Book Club, a space for introverts and everyone else! Starting Sept. 17, the library will launch its very first Silent Book Club! There is no assigned reading. Just bring your book, e-reader, audiobook, or graphic novel and enjoy an hour of quiet, shared reading in a cozy space. We will start with a brief social chat and then move into a discussion of a book of your choice( optional).
Rev. Marjorie Rivera: The Pittsburgh Medium Saturday, Oct. 18, 7 – 8:45 p. m. If you’ re interested in mediums, you’ ll want to attend this“ live” event! It’ s a demonstration of mediumship where messages will be delivered for as many participants as possible during the group reading. This is not a private reading. All participants have the same chance to receive a message. Admission to this event is free! No registration required.

Thursday( New!) Action Lab – Foster a passion for science, math, and creativity with this new STEAM program. Ages 6-10.
Special Events
Read to a Therapy Dog September 23rd & Second Tuesday from 4:30 to 5:30 p. m. Do you have a reluctant reader at home? A child who loves puppies? Visit the library for a special chance to read to a therapy dog. This program is a great way to motivate hesitant readers and a delight for dog lovers. Our therapy dog eagerly looks forward to all the stories our young patrons share. The dogs are between 4 and 13 years old.

We will be closing at 2 p. m. on September 19th, Oct. 3rd and Oct. 24th.
The library will be closed on Friday, Sept. 24th and Saturday, Sept. 21st for Oktoberfest.
