There ’ s a new coffee shop brewing in town … but it isn ’ t like the ones you know . Of course , it will have great coffee , decadent barista beverages and locally sourced pastries . But the concept of this coffee shop centers not around caffeine … it centers around the concept of community .
In 2019 , Rev . Fr . George Livanos of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church had a vision to create a local coffee shop that would provide an opportunity for the community to connect with family and friends , to provide support and to be a part of something greater than ourselves .
Sadly , after a 14-month battle with Mesothelioma , Fr . George passed . His vision to connect with others was not forgotten and in 2022 , a small group of civic and business leaders embarked on bringing Fr . George ’ s vision to fruition and Fresh Start Café was reborn .
Fresh ground coffee , espresso , cappuccino , lattes , iced coffee , fruit smoothies and locally-sourced baked goods will be featured in addition to their signature item , The Johnny Waffle ! ( Currently offered at the RinkSide Café in the Printscape Arena .... if you haven ' t tried one ... you must !)
Plans are in the works for weekly outreach events , as well as holiday events and live acoustic music on weekend evenings . Construction is moving along quickly with an anticipated opening of this Fall / Winter .

New Parking Lot Boosts More Than Just Available Spaces !
Parking in Downtown Canonsburg is a critical component to providing a vibrant and active Central Business District for businesses , resident , and visitors . Parking affects everyone , and a solid plan and strategy strengthens our community and supports growth .
As part of the Borough ’ s ongoing revitalization , construction of the new 90-space public parking lot is now underway . This increased parking supply will not only benefit the Downtown district , but the whole community . As a direct result , new downtown residential and commercial spaces are being constructed , generating more tax revenue for the Borough , while the vacant buildings are being sold and will soon house an assortment of new offerings for our residents and visitors .
The new parking does more than boost available spaces in our town , it gives it a whole new life !
