Cal U Liberal Arts Festival Forty-four Brentwood high school students visited the California University of Pennsylvania (CAL U) campus to participate in the annual Liberals Art Festival. This festival celebrated cultures from all over the world and allowed students to patriciate in hands-on learning experiences. Students attended a presentation on life in Germany, which taught the importance of learning a secondary language and embracing a world view. The students were able to learn about festivals celebrated in different countries, try on clothes from other cultures, sample cuisine from around the world, learn and teach phrases in different languages, and some even learned the basics to sword fighting! This trip not only expanded students’ understanding of other cultures and countries, it also gave students the opportunity to see a college campus and talk to students and professors about a variety of majors and professions in the liberal arts field.
