of Communication at the University of
Pittsburgh will examine the historical
framework for understanding fake news,
discuss how we got to this point, and offer
tips on how to fact-check the news.

Want a way to create an impressive cookie
platter with lots of variety for your holiday
entertaining? Come with six dozen of
one type of homemade cookie or bar and
leave with a few from each of the other
participants! Please register for this event.
Special Catered Christmas
Bingo: Thursday, December
19th, 2:00-4:00 PM
In celebration of the
holidays, Brentwood
Library hosts a
catered luncheon
with the December
Bingo. Cost for each person is $15.00 and
registration is required. Space is limited
and payment needed upon registration.

VITA Tax Help: Begin Taking
Appointments Tuesday, January 21st,

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)
trained volunteers will offer free drop off
service to qualified individuals on Saturdays
in February and March.

We will be showing Oscar
Nominated Films on Sundays
1/19, 1/26, and 2/2, and will
have an Oscar Viewing Party on
Sunday, February 9th.
PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN
Ages 0-18 months – Thursdays at
10:00 AM – Book Babies, a sweet story
time with rhymes, songs, books, and more!
Ages 18 months-3 years – Thursdays at
11:00 AM – Toddler Tales, an active and
interactive story time that includes making
a craft and/or free play.
Ages 3 -5 years – Tuesdays at 10:45 AM –
Let’s Learn! Parents drop off their children
for this hour-long program that’s aimed at
readying them for Kindergarten.
Ages 0-5 years – Mondays at 11:00 AM –
Musical Monday, a festive time of singing,
doing motions, playing instruments, and
dancing.
Ages 0-whatever! – One Wednesday
evening a month at 6:30 PM—Family
Evening Storytimes! The whole family
can join us for one evening a month for a
family story time appropriate for all ages.
Seasonally appropriate books, songs,
rhymes, crafts, and games.
Grades K-5 – Wednesdays at 3:30 PM –
Elementary School Fun!
1st & 3rd weeks of the month are Building
Club – Fun with LEGO, Magna Tiles, KEVA
Planks, and Lincoln Logs!
