The Borough is governed by seven elected Council members and a Mayor. The Mayor is elected for a 4-year term; Council members are elected for 4-year overlapping terms. There are no term limits in Baldwin.

Bulk items are collected during the first full week of each month.( The first week of the month that contains a Monday-Friday.) TWO items may be placed outside of the trash cart on your designated collection day.
BULK WASTE:
• Furniture including chairs, pieces of furniture, armoire, cabinet, chest, headboard, sofa, mattress / box spring, dressers and interior doors.
• Household appliances including washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, toilet, refrigerator( once Freon is removed and tagged), microwave, hot water tank, etc.
• Carpeting( cut and tied in maximum 4-foot long bundles)
• Picnic table or bench( unattached), basketball board or pool( 6’ or less in height), swing set( unassembled)
NOT BULK WASTE:
BULK WASTE
• BAGS OR BOXES
• Concrete, bricks, asphalt, roofing, electronics
• Vehicles or parts
• Building Materials such as plaster, dry wall, wood, construction debris, etc.
• Bagged Grass Clippings or leaves
REMINDER: Bags of trash or Cardboard Boxes are not considered bulk waste. Bags must be placed in the trash cart. Cardboard boxes must be broken down and placed in the recycling cart.( Michael Bros. Recycling Center located at 901 Horning Road also accepts cardboard and other items for recycling.)
BULK TRASH WEEKS: June 2- 6 July 7- 11 August 4- 8 September 2- 6( Sept. 1 is a holiday) October 6- 10 November 3- 7 December 1- 5
