Dear Friends and Families of Baldwin-Whitehall,
The 2024-2025 school year has been truly memorable for so many wonderful reasons, and I am happy to share some of our brightest moments with you on the following pages.
One of the biggest highlights happened in March when we helped welcome the League of Innovative Schools conference to Pittsburgh. During this exciting and insightful event, dozens of superintendents and leaders from school districts across the U. S. traveled here to Pittsburgh to see how our regional educators are creating some of the most innovative and transformative learning experiences in the country. I am extremely proud that we were selected to be one of thirteen districts that this group of nationwide educators had the opportunity to explore and learn from over the course of four days.
Being able to host this special event in Pittsburgh is a testament to how well our regional school districts have learned to work together in recent years. The ecosystem of learning that we are fostering in our region is setting a positive example that is lighting the path for others to follow. By sharing our knowledge and resources, collaborating on programs that benefit students across multiple districts, and helping every child discover the best learning opportunities for their needs and interests, we are doing all we can to help the children of

President, BWSD Board of School Directors
Dear Baldwin-Whitehall School District Staff, Students, Parents and Community Members,
As we approach the end of another school year, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we have shared over the past several months. This year has been filled with challenges and triumphs, and through it all, I am grateful for the unwavering commitment and resilience displayed by our dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive families. The Journey of a Highlander has ramped up this year at all levels and is showing many positive results. Each of you has played a crucial role in creating a positive and nurturing school environment, and for that, we as a Board extend our heartfelt thanks.
As we celebrate our accomplishments, it is important to acknowledge the remarkable achievements of our students. From academic successes to artistic performances and athletic competitions, our students have continued to excel and demonstrate their passion for learning and growth. I encourage everyone to take pride in their efforts and to recognize the importance of collaboration and community, which have been vital in fostering such an enriching

To do this, we provide our students with many different kinds of opportunities to explore math, art, language, and science, with the goal of developing new skills and interests. In many cases, the moment a student first sees an interesting book, witnesses a fascinating chemical reaction, or encounters an intriguing piece of technology is the moment when their curiosity comes alive and their love of learning expands exponentially. These are the moments that we live for as educators, and I am so grateful to serve as the superintendent of a school district where those moments have a chance to happen for every student, in every class, every day.
Thank you for all you do to support our Baldwin-Whitehall learning community, and I hope you have an amazing summer!
Sincerely,
Dr. Randal A. Lutz Superintendent of Schools Baldwin-Whitehall School District
