The Brentwood 4th of July 5K Race and Parade will be here before we know it, and Baldwin EMS is excited to be part of this incredible community event once again!
As we gear up for a fun-filled day, we want to remind everyone to come prepared— bring sunscreen, stay hydrated with plenty of water, and pack a few snacks. It’ s also a great idea to have a plan in place to reconnect with family and friends after the race.
Please stay aware of your surroundings, and remember: if you need emergency assistance, dial 911 or approach any police, fire, or EMS personnel along the race and parade route. Our team will be out in full force with 25 EMS professionals on foot, in quick-response ATVs, and in ambulances— ready for anything that comes our way.
We’ re just about finished with our preparations and can’ t wait to celebrate with the community. It’ s going to be a safe, exciting, and memorable day! As Chief Todd Plunkett puts it:“ My favorite is the Brentwood 4th of July. I’ ve probably gone to every 4th of July since I started my career at age 16. Even as a chief, I like to go out there, see the people, jump on a Gator, and roll through the crowds. It’ s a great day— it’ s a happy day. We have a lot of fun. It’ s a hard work day for us— people can get sick, maybe pass out if they didn’ t hydrate before the race— but it’ s a fantastic event. If you’ ve never been to a 4th of July parade and race, you need to go. I tell my colleagues across the country, and they ask,‘ What do you do in such a small footprint?’ I tell them, it’ s gigantic, it’ s fun, and it’ s ten times better than Canonsburg!”
See you on the 4th!
