Wyatt Mulholland and Logan Butler being honored at the 2025 SHASDA
Brentwood High School and the Brentwood Borough School District enjoy a longstanding partnership with the Brentwood, Baldwin, Whitehall Chamber of Commerce. The school district is a proud member of the chamber, and Superintendent Dr. Amy Burch currently serves on the Chamber’ s Board of Directors and Officers.
Each year, the Brentwood, Baldwin, Whitehall Chamber of Commerce sponsors a $ 1,500 one-time educational grant, awarded to one student from Brentwood High School and one from Baldwin High School. This year, Amelia Foley, a senior at Brentwood High School, was selected as the 2025 recipient of the Educational Grant.
A standout member of the Class of 2025, Amelia will attend Carnegie Mellon University this fall, where she plans to major in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Robotics.

Each year, the South Hills Area School District Association( SHASDA) hosts its annual conference to recognize exceptional students with the SHASDA Extra Effort Award. This honor highlights students who have faced and overcome significant challenges— those whose efforts may not always be acknowledged through traditional academic accolades.
The SHASDA Extra Effort Award was created to celebrate perseverance, determination, and growth. It recognizes students who have shown marked improvement in academic performance, attendance, achievement scores, or who have demonstrated excellence in the practical and fine arts. These are students who have gone above and beyond to succeed despite adversity.
This year, Brentwood High School is proud to honor Logan Butler and Wyatt Mulholland as recipients of the 2025 SHASDA Extra Effort Award.

Logan Butler has been accepted to Allegheny College, where he plans to major in Software Engineering. Logan’ s dream is to work in the video game industry with a major studio. His dedication to his studies and his clear vision for the future have made him a deserving recipient of this award.
Wyatt Mulholland has chosen a different but equally commendable path— he will serve our country as a member of the United States Air Force. With a long-standing interest in the military, Wyatt is excited to embrace the training and career opportunities that lie ahead. While he is still exploring specific career options within the Air Force, he is eager to grow through this experience.
The entire faculty and staff of Brentwood High School join in congratulating Logan and Wyatt. We are proud of their achievements and wish them continued success as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
AMELIA FOLEY WINS 2025 BRENTWOOD, BALDWIN, WHITEHALL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP
extracurriculars. She served as the Lead Engineer for Brentwood’ s F1 in Schools team, which competed at the international finals in Singapore. She also led Redemption Racing, an all-female team, to a national championship— making history as the first all-female team to win the F1 in Schools National Championship.
Amelia’ s passion for STEM is further reflected in her accomplishments as a Tournament Champion in the VEX Robotics Competition and as a recipient of the Society of Women Engineers Certificate of Merit Award. Beyond her academic and STEM pursuits, Amelia is deeply involved in student life. She serves as Secretary of the Class of 2025, is a member of both the volleyball and track teams, and plays in the marching, concert, and jazz bands. She is also a proud and active member of the Garden Club.
We congratulate Amelia on her exceptional accomplishments and wish her continued success as she embarks on her next chapter at Carnegie Mellon University. Her future is undoubtedly bright, and we look forward to seeing all she will achieve.
