BOROUGH OF BALDWIN PROJECT UPDATES
This is going to be a busy construction season within the Borough of Baldwin. We have many projects which will be beginning over the next month. All will bring much needed infrastructure upgrades to our community.
• Gardenville Area Sanitary Sewer Project – This project will consist of over 2 miles( 10,600 linear feet) of sanitary sewer pipe replacement. This project is mandated by the PADEP to remove wet weather storm water flow from the sanitary sewer system. The project is scheduled to begin sometime in June of this year and be completed by September of 2019.
• 2018 Road Program – This project will consist of street resurfacing and some minor storm sewer upgrades on the following roadways:
o Port Way – Mellott to Borough Line o Michael Drive – House No. 1239 to Edward Dr o Wildwood Avenue – Churchview to Harmening o Meadowvue Drive – Barthwood to Cul-De-Sac o Elm Leaf Drive – Wallace to Kathleen o 1st Street – Penn to Middle o Lane Way – Penn to Baldwin Drive o Steiner Street – Mary to Borough Line o Mellott Road – Churchview to Vernon
The project should begin in early June of this year and will be completed by September of this year.
• Colewood Park Ph. II – This project will include a new parking facility at the end of Overland Trail, stormwater collection and conveyance system, a walking trail connecting the new parking facility at the end of Colewood with the new parking on Overland Trail, two smaller soccer fields to the left of the new Overland Trail lot, and new playground equipment with a play surface at he Colewood side of the park. This will begin sometime in Early July and be completed by October of this year.
• Cathell Road Slide Repair – This was an unforeseen project for 2018 that necessitated addressing when one lane of Cathell had experienced a major slide due to the harsh winter freeze thaw cycles and the unprecedented rains in February. This project is anticipated to begin in July / August and be completed by October of this year. aldwin BALDWIN BOROUGH News
• Elm Leaf Park Ph. II – This project is in the beginning planning Stages and anticipates a late summer construction with completion by early spring.

• PennDOT – The state( PennDOT) will be reconstructing the culvert underneath Streets Run Road near the intersection with Doyle and E. Willock Roads starting in Early June.
