Former Councilwoman, Dawn” DeeDee Radosevich” Synborski passed away on February 24, 2016. Dawn was a life-long resident of Brentwood Borough and well known in the political arena. Dawn served on Brentwood Council and was also the Democratic Committee Woman for many years. During her term on Council, Dawn was very dedicated to the community and the residents. Dawn will be missed by her son, Don Jr. and daughter Darlene( Clay) Gibson, several grandchildren and her many friends.
Margaret M. Zapp,( Peggy) passed away February 27, 2016, at the age of 92. Peggy was a regular at the Brentwood Library working there for 45 years. Peg loved her job and the numerous employees she worked with through the years. Peg was also a lifelong avid Pirate fan. Peg will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all her friends.

On March 1, 2016, Elvina R. Nicola, aka“ Venie” 78, passed away after a long battle with cancer. Venie was a 1956 graduate of Brentwood High School and longtime member of St. Sylvester Church. Years ago, Venie sang in the St. Sylvester Choir; most recently she enjoyed attending the Bible Study group. Venie was employed by Brentwood Borough as Secretary from 1984 to 2004. For enjoyment Venie loved to bake, cook and dance. As far as baking, her pies were second to none. Venie will be missed by her husband Ed, son Ed( Jr.), daughter Nikki, and grandchildren Ian and Elena Macdonald. The Borough employees offer their sympathy to the Nicola family. May she rest in peace! rentwood
