Around Brentwood

The Brentwood community proudly welcomed its newest police officer, as Mayor Mike Foyle officially swore in Zachery O’ Halloran to the Brentwood Police Department.
The ceremony was made even more meaningful by the presence of O’ Halloran’ s family— his fiancée, Crystal, their one-month-old daughter, Maria, and his parents— highlighting the strong support system standing behind him as he begins his career in public service.
A West Mifflin native, O’ Halloran’ s journey to Brentwood began right out of high school, when he enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps in October 2020. His training and service took him across the country, from boot camp in South Carolina to combat training in North Carolina, followed by military police schooling in Missouri. He was ultimately stationed as a military police officer at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia.

Now 23 years old, O’ Halloran is stepping into his first municipal police role, bringing with him valuable experience, discipline, and a deep sense of responsibility shaped by his military service. cKeesport rentwood

What he looks forward to most is becoming part of the Brentwood community.“ I left the second I became an adult,” O’ Halloran said.“ So being able to come into a different area and introduce myself to the public— I think that will be a great thing for me.”
With a new baby at home and a new job underway, free time has been limited, but O’ Halloran hopes to eventually return to hobbies he enjoys, including fishing, and to try hunting in the future. For now, his focus is on learning the borough.
The Borough welcomes Officer O’ Halloran to the Brentwood Police Department and wishes him success as he begins this new chapter of service.
