John Comito, of Comito Metal Art, has generously donated his striking rendition of the Spartan Head to Brentwood Borough.
A member of the Brentwood High School Class of 1975, Comito credits his Moore Elementary art teacher, Miss Krebs, with helping spark his lifelong passion for art. He also comes from a family of artists.
Each of Comito’ s pieces begins as a hand-drawn design. He then converts the artwork for precision cutting with a plasma cutter before finishing it with a durable powder coat. His work is sold around the world.
Comito frequently partners with police departments and regularly donates pieces honoring officers and firefighters who have been killed in the line of duty.
The Spartan Head will hang inside the Brentwood Borough Municipal Building, where residents and visitors alike can stop in and enjoy this incredible gift to the community.
