THINGS ARE GETTING CREEPY AND KOOKY AT BRENTWOOD HS
Young love is in bloom when Wednesday Addams meets Lucas while crossbow hunting in Central Park. There is only one problem- Lucas is absolutely NORMAL. It is time for the parents to meet, and the uptight couple from Ohio is not prepared for the love, laughter and macabre of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Pugsley, Grandma, Lurch and the rest of the zany ancestors. With upbeat songs, hilarious encounters, and just a little bit of torture, The Addams Family School Edition is fun for the whole family!
Join Seniors Morticia( Jocelyn Ashton-Reese), Wednesday( Madalyn Fry), Mal( Ethan DeShetler), Alice( Sofia DeMeo), Grandma( Phi-Phi Garibay) and the rest of the spooky cast of characters at March 26-28, 7 pm in the Brentwood Middle-High School Auditorium.

NEW GRANT FUELS CONTINUED EXPLORATION OF A CHIEF EXPERIENCE OFFICER AT BRENTWOOD
Schools thrive when students feel connected, supported, and inspired— and that belief is at the heart of the newly established Chief Experience Officer( CXO) grant thanks to the generosity of The Grable Foundation. Designed to bring together innovation, learning, and human-centered design, the CXO position focuses on understanding the student experience and shaping meaningful experiences for students, staff, families, and community partners moving forward.
Rather than concentrating on a single department or initiative, the CXO works across systems at the secondary level to ensure that programs, practices, and environments reflect shared values and respond to real needs, making recommendations for shifts based on what they see and hear. This includes strengthening collaboration, supporting continuous learning, and designing experiences that foster belonging, curiosity and growth.
The CXO role also serves as a bridge between vision and action— helping translate big ideas into practical, inclusive experiences that make a difference in daily life. By listening closely to stakeholders like students, teachers and families, and using real data, creativity and reflection, the CXO can help organizations like Brentwood remain responsive in a rapidly changing world. We’ re excited to see where this grant experience takes us and what opportunities it might create for our students.

Caden Ward, a Brentwood HS Senior Art honors student, created this impressive 3-D model of Pittsburgh, from The Point to the UPMC Building. Caden crafted all of the buildings using a variety of cardboard, construction paper and oil pastels. He spent nearly two months creating it using his memory and some Google maps references. Great job, Caden!
BLOOD DRIVE SAVES LIVES
Brentwood HS and Vitalant held a blood drive and collected 27 units, which will help save 81 lives! There were five first time donors and three plasma donations among the students and staff who donated. The high school’ s next blood drive is Thursday, May 21 and community members are invited to sign-up and donate.
The drive was hosted by the Health Careers Club and scholarship money is earned for each increment of 20 donors for a Brentwood senior interested in the medical field. Thank you to all the students and staff who donated to help others!
