NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROJECT PROMISES BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY
With the new Brentwood Elementary School just six months away from its anticipated opening, the project is on track to deliver a modern, future-ready learning environment that will benefit students, families and the broader community for years to come. The school will replace aging facilities with a modern learning environment designed to better support how children learn today. It is not simply about bricks and mortar, but about creating spaces that foster collaboration, creativity and engagement among young learners.
Designed for 21st-Century Learning
Brentwood Elementary features flexible classrooms, interactive learning areas and a future-focused media center that supports handson learning, problem solving and exploration. These spaces are intended to adapt as teaching methods and technology evolve, ensuring the building remains relevant for decades to come.

We firmly believe that today’ s students learn best when they can interact, explore and engage and this building is designed around those principles. rentwood Borough SCHOOL DISTRICT NEWS

Enhanced Safety and Security
Safety is a central focus of the project. Brentwood Elementary incorporates modern security features, improved sightlines, and controlled access points to provide a safer environment for students and staff. Updated traffic flow and clearly defined walking paths are being planned to improve daily arrival and dismissal routines.
Energy Efficiency and Cost Savings
By investing in quality materials and energy-efficient systems, we are aiming to reduce long-term operating costs. Modern heating, cooling and lighting systems are expected to lower energy consumption, freeing up future resources for educational programs rather than building maintenance.
Strengthening the Community
The building was designed with the broader community in mind. A centrally located, modern school can serve as a neighborhood anchor and help stabilize property values. Plans for the future use of the Elroy and Moore school buildings are intended to enhance community development and ensure the sites continue to add value to Brentwood Borough.
Planning for the Future Brentwood Elementary will stabilize our community and promote growth. By consolidating resources into one high-quality facility, the
District can better manage enrollment, maintain educational standards and plan responsibly for the years ahead. The building is scheduled to open in August 2026; we remain committed to provide students with a safe, innovative, and inspiring place to learn— one that reflects the community’ s commitment to education and its future.
