Spring is Just Around the Corner!
As we shake off the last remnants of winter and welcome the warmer days ahead, Brentwood Borough is gearing up for an exciting season filled with community improvements, special events, and opportunities for residents to get involved. Here is what’ s happening in your hometown:
Investing in Brentwood’ s Future Brentwood is committed to maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure while being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars. This year, we are moving forward with key projects, including:
Dewalt Avenue Streetscape Improvements: Plans are in motion to replace those trees, lamp posts, sidewalks and most importantly the roadway surface of Dewalt Avenue. Construction is anticipated for 2026 for this grant funded project.
ADA Accessibility Enhancements: Thanks to grant funding, we are continuing our annual ADA ramp replacement program to improve sidewalk access for all residents.
Roadway Paving Program: Streets identified for repaving in 2024 will soon see improvements, enhancing safety and quality of life throughout the Borough.
Exciting Economic Development News
Brentwood’ s business district is evolving! Our Economic Development project is gaining momentum, with a mixed-use development set to bring market-rate housing, retail, and restaurant space to the heart of our community. This $ 15 million investment will contribute to a vibrant, walkable downtown that serves both residents and visitors.
Ballfield No. 4 Upgrades: With grant applications underway, we are working to bring much-needed ADA accessibility, additional parking, and other improvements to one of our most-used athletic fields.
Civic Center Revitalization: Following $ 2.5 million in renovations, our newly improved Civic Center will be a premier location for community events, small weddings, and recreational programming. Stay tuned for rental opportunities!
Keeping Our Community Safe
Brentwood’ s Police Department remains dedicated to public safety. This year, we are planning strategic equipment upgrades, including the replacement of in-car laptops and continued investment in body-worn cameras. Don’ t forget our“ eye in the sky”
Drone. These tools help ensure our officers are equipped to serve and protect efficiently.
Get Involved & Stay Connected!
Spring is a time for fresh starts, and what better way to engage with your community than by attending local events or volunteering? Be sure to follow Brentwood Borough’ s website and social media channels for updates on upcoming meetings, public forums, and community initiatives.
These are just a fraction of the many amenities and benefits provided to us all. Together, we are making Brentwood an even better place to live, work, and play. Thank you for being a part of what makes our Borough so special!
Sincerely,
