HARRISON MIDDLE SCHOOL GEOMETRY STUDENTS CONTINUE CODING
During the Hour of Code week , several students in the District took part in coding activities on Code . org .
Students in Mrs . Willman ’ s Geometry class extended their learning in mathematics by completing Transformations Puzzles and coding in Python . Students wrote code in Python to create a three-digit lottery and calculate the total amount spent versus the total amount won . Mrs . Willman was able to assist students and extend their learning due to the training she received as part of her Differentiated Supervision Action plan from the GenCyber program held at Indiana University of Pennsylvania . The NSA reports a need for students to enter into college programs for coding and the job demands that lie ahead in the future . By extending the learning of students in her class , Mrs .
