A THING AS LOVELY AS A TREE
The Brentwood-Baldwin-Whitehall Shade Tree Commission is a volunteerbased group with the mission to promote awareness of the significance of trees, advise on the preservation and planting of trees in our area, and educate residents and leaders about the role of trees as natural assets to our communities.
In order to serve on the commission, you should be at least 18 years of age, able to attend one virtual meeting per month, willing to better the community by planting and maintaining trees, able to participate in fundraising events, and passionate about growing our community’ s knowledge of trees.

WHITEHALL CELEBRATES AMERICA 250!
The Whitehall Borough Historical Society unveiled a 1976 time capsule, and David Thomas, president of the society, presented the materials that had been preserved in it.
Whitehall also marked the occasion with an amazing fireworks display on June 26 sponsored by the Caste Village Merchants Association.
The celebration of our nation’ s birthday continued on June 27 with a parade in which several community groups marched, including the Baldwin High School Marching Band, and patriotic flags were proudly displayed.
The festivities ended with a concert in the park featuring BB Steal 80s Live, sponsored by the Whitehall Borough Recreation Department.
