" Community to me represents unity ; people in a community should work towards a common goal . If that ' s in bettering the lives or organizing a charity event they should work on it together since their all in it together . I am a hard-working student who has focused on how to change lives here in the United States and make a better country for everyone . I have received high honor awards for many consecutive years of high school as well as an award for an excellent understanding of civics , government and history . On the flip side , I am also dedicated to my sports ; lettering in football and track , even going as far as to medal in 6th place in all of western Pennsylvania for the four-by-one relay . Despite all of this , I found time to volunteer for the community because I have always been taught since a child by my mother and great-aunt Dottie that you have to give back to your roots . I found the best way was to volunteer for the youth at junior track events even running in the Baldwin mile on community day . After all this time in Pittsburgh , I plan on attending Lake Forest College in Illinois , near Chicago to major in accounting and economics and then minor in politics , law and public policy ."
Congratulations , Nathaniel , and best wishes at Lake Forest College this fall !
