The Borough of Baldwin requires an
Occupancy Inspection when there is a change of
ownership or tenant. This applies to Commercial
and Residential property for all the following:
• when a home is sold
• when a home is rented
• when an apartment is rented
• new business opens in an existing space,
with or without a building permit
• new owner of building, but same tenant(s)
(whether residential or commercial) so, a citation may be filed against the owner and
tenant.

be found on the Baldwin Borough’s website
under Borough Ordinances, then the following
sections:
If found in violation owner and tenant may
receive a Notice of Violation informing you to
apply for occupancy. If either party fails to do Should you need further information/

Borough residents will now
be able to send their request
through our website’s Citizen
Request Tracker. On the
homepage, the “Report a
Concern” icon will now direct
you to the Request Tracker
page instead of leaving the
site. Borough employees will
continue to view and respond
to the submissions in a timely
matter.
