The Mayor is elected for a 4-year term; council members are elected for 4-year overlapping terms. There are no term limits in Baldwin. The Borough of Baldwin requires an Occupancy Inspection when there is a change of ownership or tenant. This applies to Commercial and Residential property for all the following: • when a home is sold • when a home is rented • when an apartment is rented • new business opens in an existing space, with or without a building permit • new owner of building, but same tenant(s) (whether residential or commercial) so, a citation may be filed against the owner and tenant. On the homepage, the “Report a Concern” icon will now direct you to the Request Tracker page instead of leaving the site.
