Brentwood EMS
Did you know that Brentwood EMS is a 501C-3( non-profit) organization that has been serving the Brentwood Community for 41 years. While once a volunteer dominated organization we have transitioned to career based staffing in the last 15 years. Brentwood EMS minimally staffs one Advanced Life Support Ambulance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our staff consists of 15 Paramedics and 11 Emergency Medical Technicians. The fleet has 3 Advanced Life Support Ambulances and 2 Response Units. In July of 2017 we entered into the update program of our fleet and took delivery of our remounted ambulance in November of 2017, this was a $ 114,000 project. Our next update should be taking place within the next 2 years.
Annually Brentwood EMS runs a Subscription Program that is valid from January 1st to December 31st. Did you know that most insurance companies do not pay 100 % of total ambulance charges. In fact, most insurance plans require that you pay a co-payment and / or deductible. Your subscription assures that you will receive a 50 % discount off any of these out-of-pocket expenses-when related to emergency ambulance service provided by Brentwood EMS. Keep in mind: non-subscribers
are often responsible for full payment of any and all applicable charges, which can exceed $ 1,000 per trip. Currently only 19 % of the Brentwood Community participates in the Subscription Program. If you are currently a subscriber we thank you for your support. If you are not a subscriber and are interested in subscribing please contact us at 412-884-8740. Non Brentwood residents should contact their local ambulance provider to get information on programs in your area. Additional fundraisers include Annual Golf Outing every year in June.
CPR and First Aid classes along with Public Relation Events are available upon request by contacting the EMS Base.
Brentwood EMS has immediate employment opportunities available for Fulltime and Casual Paramedics and EMT’ s. Volunteer opportunities are also available for both medical and non-medical members. Applications are available at the EMS Base or by contacting us at 412-884-8740.
