Child Find
Each school district, along with other public agencies in the commonwealth, must establish and implement procedures to identify, locate, and evaluate all children who need special education programs and services because of the child ' s disability. This notice is to help find these children, offer assistance to parents, and describes the parents’ rights with regard to confidentiality of information that will be obtained during this process. The content of this notice has been written in English but can be translated into other languages. If a person does not understand any of this notice, he or she should contact the Pupil Services Department( 412-885- 7583) and request an explanation.

Title 1
The ESEA Title 1 Program is a federally funded project developed to meet the academic needs of students. ESEA stands for the Elementary and Secondary Education Act that was passed in 1965. Pupil Services
The Pupil Services Department directs all student supports and services in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District including special education, English as a second language instruction, gifted education, psychological services, social work services, health services, homebound instruction, and support for homeless students.
