President, Baldwin-Whitehall School District School Board of Directors As we begin the new school year, I would like to welcome back and offer my best wishes to all of our students and staff for a successful school year. The start of a new school year brings the excitement and promise of new friends, new teachers, and most importantly new and exciting opportunities for students to learn. I am hopeful that all of our students take advantage of the endless possibilities that the Baldwin-Whitehall School District has to offer. As we embark on a new school year, the Board of School Directors remains committed to our goals, and we will continue to ensure our students receive all of the tools necessary to be successful learners. We have set the stage for funding future technology initiatives and we will continue to embrace the importance of technology and its role in enhancing the learning process. Along with providing a quality education, comes the responsibility of long-term financial management. The Board will continue to make fiscally responsible decisions that protect our taxpayers and offer the least amount of impact on the education of our students. We will continue to work diligently to strengthen our relationship with the community by cultivating and maintaining partnerships with community leaders, businesses, support groups, and most of all parents. We understand that community involvement is vital for effective school functioning and educational excellence and we will continue to look for new ways to improve communication. We value and respect our community as our greatest asset. While working toward meeting our goals, the Board faces a multitude of challenges, including future funding and budgetary concerns. However, we will continue to evaluate our o perations and explore ways to maximize efficiency as well as protect and maintain our current resources. We invite you to visit our website at www.bwschools.net and learn about all of the new and exciting things happening within our District. We also invite you to attend the Community Advancement and Development Committee meetings, which are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 6-7 p.m. at Whitehall Elementary School, and as always, we welcome you to attend the Baldwin-Whitehall School Board meetings, held the first two Wednesdays of the month, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The education of our youth is essential to our future and the Board values and appreciates the talents of our staff who continue to inspire and empower our students to learn.
