Homecoming Week began on Sunday, September 17, when the Senior Girls defeated the Junior Girls 33-6 in the annual Powderpuff Football Game at the Stadium. The great weather continued all week and this year’s Homecoming Parade went on as scheduled down Black Hawk Drive to the Stadium. Following the Parade several BPHS organizations had tables and activities for the Tailgate. Before the game began, the Homecoming Awards were presented to: • BPHS English Teacher John Allemang -- Faculty Spirit Award • BPHS Social Studies Teacher Mike Galietta -- BPHS Service Award • Seniors Patrick McCall and Anna McLinden -- Student Spirit Awards At Halftime, Sarah Russell was crowned Homecoming Queen and Patrick McCall was Homecoming King. The Hawks played Pine-Richland in the Homecoming Football Game, and on Saturday, over 900 students enjoyed the Homecoming Dance in the Cafeteria and Outdoor Courtyard.
