HARMONY SINGERS PRESENT HOLIDAY CONCERT
The Harmony Singers of Pittsburgh will present a holiday concert , “ Glad Tidings Tell ,” under the direction of Cynthia G . Pratt on Sunday , Dec . 10 , at 3 p . m ., at Brightwood Christian Church , 5044 West Library Avenue , Bethel Park .
The concert will be presented again on Tuesday , Dec . 12 , at 7 p . m ., at St . Germaine Church , 7003 Baptist Road , Bethel Park .
Selections from the concert include “ Rockin ’ Around the Christmas Tree ,” “ Santa Baby ,” “ Mary , Did You Know ?” and “ Go , Tell it on the Mountain .”
There will also be favorite carols , holiday music , and a sing-a-long . Refreshments will be served following the concert . A basket raffle and a holiday cookie sale will be included as well .
The concert is free and open to the public . A free-will offering to benefit the charitable and entertainment efforts of the Harmony Singers will be accepted .

FALL FOOD SHARE HELPS FILL NEIGHBORS ’ PLATES
With the holidays right around the corner , many begin planning Thanksgiving dinners with family and friends . However , for too many of our neighbors , monthly food budgets don ’ t stretch as far during this time of year . To help ensure that everyone has a meal this holiday season , Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is partnering with Giant Eagle for the annual Fall Food Share campaign .
Now through Nov . 22 , shoppers at participating Giant Eagle locations are asked to make monetary or food donations within their local store . All donations stay in the counties where the donation was made . Shoppers are asked to donate household and nonperishable food items in boxes , cans or plastic containers ( no glass packaging ). Grocery items needed by most food banks include :
• Diapers
• Dried or canned
• Laundry detergent beans
• Paper products • Pouched or canned
• Pasta tuna
• Pasta sauce • Rice
• Peanut butter • Instant mashed potatoes

CHABAD OF THE SOUTH HILLS 5TH ANNUAL SOUTH HILLS LIGHTS COMMUNITY CHANUKAH CELEBRATION
Chabad of the South Hills presents the 5th Annual South Hills Lights Community Chanukah Celebration at the Galleria Mt . Lebanon , upper level , on Wednesday , Dec . 13 , at 6 p . m . There will be live entertainment , lighting of a 12‐foot Menorah , Klezmer music , food , raffle prizes and more . The event is free and open to the public .

HEALTH DEPARTMENT INFLUENZA VACCINE CLINIC OPEN
The Allegheny County Health Department is offering seasonal flu and high-dose flu immunizations . The vaccines are available at the walk-in immunization clinic located at 425 First Avenue , Pittsburgh , 15219 . Residents should enter the building via Cherry Way and proceed to the fourth floor .
The immunization clinic will be open weekdays from 9 a . m . to 4 p . m ., except for Wednesdays , when the clinic ’ s hours will be 1 to 8 p . m . No appointment is necessary .
Influenza is a highly contagious upper respiratory infection that can cause mild to severe illness and is potentially fatal . Getting an annual flu vaccine is recommended for everyone six months of age and older . ACHD will again offer the high-dose influenza vaccine this year . The high-dose flu vaccine is four times more concentrated than the regular flu shot , and is available only for seniors 65 years of age and older .
“ Getting a flu shot is the first step to combating the flu ,” said Health Department Director Dr . Karen Hacker . “ The flu vaccination is also very important to not only your health , but the health of your loved ones .”
The price of the regular seasonal flu shot for individuals with insurance is $ 26 . The high-dose flu shot price is $ 52 .
The flu vaccine is often a covered benefit and you can receive the flu shot for free at many locations around the county ; however , ACHD reminds residents to make sure to check with their insurance provider prior to getting the flu shot .
At a later date , a limited supply of flu vaccine will be available , at no cost , to uninsured and underinsured residents of Allegheny County . Please call 412.578.8060 for the most up-to-date information about this program .
