PITTSBURGH YOUTH CHORUS TO PRESENT‘ A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING’ CABARET
The Pittsburgh Youth Chorus( PYC) will present its Grand Night for Singing cabaret on Tuesday, June 2, at 5:30 p. m. at Greystone Fields in the North Hills( Gibsonia).
This lively, family-friendly event will showcase the talents of PYC’ s young performers in an evening of solo and group numbers spanning a variety of musical styles.
The cabaret will also feature special guest artists, including Scott Blasey, Steven Brault, Isabel Valasek and Liz Berlin, adding star power to an already exciting program.
Founded in 1981, the Pittsburgh Youth Chorus is dedicated to providing high-quality vocal training and performance opportunities for young singers throughout the region. Under the direction of Dr. Christine Jordanoff, the organization continues to inspire confidence, creativity and a lifelong love of music.

SENIOR SOFTBALL LEAGUE SEEKS NEW PLAYERS
Registration may still be open for the South Hills Senior Softball League, which organizes games for players 55 and older.
Interested people can get information by emailing shssleague @ yahoo. com. Registration forms were due at the end of March.
The league, formed over three decades ago, attracts more than 150 players each year. Games are typically played at fields in South Park, Pleasant Hills, Baldwin, Brentwood, Bethel Park and Pittsburgh.
One division of the league plays on weekday evenings, the other on weekday mornings. Teams in both divisions normally play twice a week. Tryouts and a draft were being planned for April, with dates announced to registered players.
League commissioner Ron Sullivan noted,“ Our players get a chance not only to rediscover a game they love, but also to join a strong community of friends.”
TREEHAVEN GARDEN CLUB TO HOLD ANNUAL MOTHER’ S DAY WEEKEND PLANT SALE
Treehaven Garden Club’ s annual spring plant sale will take place Saturday, May 9, from 8 a. m. to noon at South Park Shops, 5209 Library Road( in front of the vacant Rite Aid).
This sale is a tremendously popular event. The group sells beautiful hanging baskets from Lenik Nursery, healthy homegrown perennials dug from members’ own gardens, herbs, bulbs and small floral gifts that could be perfect for mothers and grandmothers.
JOIN THE WOMEN’ S GOLF LEAGUE IN MT. LEBANON
The Women’ s Golf Association of Mt. Lebanon( WGAML) is inviting women of all ages and skill levels to join for its 2026 season, which is beginning in April and continues through September.
Applicants should have some knowledge of the game and its rules prior to joining. The annual league membership fee is $ 27.
The group plays nine holes on Tuesday mornings, teeing off between 7:15 and 9:30 a. m., with a member available to assist in creating foursomes.

LABOURÉ LADIES GUILD TO HOLD ANNUAL FLEA MARKET
The Labouré Ladies Guild of St. Catherine Labouré Parish will host its“ Timeless Treasures” flea market July 16 – 18.
It will be open from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. Saturday at St. Louise de Marillac Church in the LeGras Parish Center( lower level), 320 McMurray Rd.
Sale items will include jewelry, gently used children’ s clothing to size 6, toys, decorative items, knickknacks, kitchen items, holiday decorations, linens, tools, books, some furniture and much more. There will also be a boutique offering better-quality items.
( Note that due to fire safety regulations, strollers are not permitted inside LeGras Parish Center.)
OUTREACH TEEN & FAMILY SERVICES TO HOST‘ CONNECTIONS’ GALA EVENT
Outreach Teen & Family Services will host its annual Connections Gala on Friday, May 8, at the Heinz History Center, bringing together the community for an inspiring evening in support of youth mental health in the region.
This year’ s“ Up, Up and Away” theme also celebrates the appointment of a new executive director, Barb Saunders, who brings more than 30 years of experience and a vision to expand accessible mental health services.
The evening will feature a keynote presentation by Tim Curry, founder of Curry & Co. Solutions, with Adam Crowley of 93.7 The Fan returning as emcee, plus dinner, auctions and raffles. Proceeds will support Outreach’ s mission to ensure that no child or family is turned away due to inability to pay, helping to fund counseling services and school-based mental health programs throughout the region. ■
