SECOND
GRADERS MAKE
CAVE ART
First Grade students learned more
about family members’ jobs, as well as
the difference between needs and wants.
Second Grade students used posters
and games to learn about businesses,
jobs and taxes.
Third Grade students learned about
money management, while Fourth
Grade students learned how to be
entrepreneurs by operating a fictional
hot dog stand.
The program gave the elementary
students an introduction to the
importance of financial literacy and
provided them with positive role
models in the high school students.
The high school students got valuable
teaching experience and an opportunity
to interact in a positive way with the
younger students.
Bethel Park High School Child Development
students did a great job leading the Penn
students through the JA Day activities.
The High School students enjoyed working one
on one with the students to make sure they
understood the concepts they were teaching.
