The Pool & Spa Place
Making Backyards
Cooler for You
F
or the past 14 years, The Pool & Spa Place
in Bethel Park has been taking backyards
from yawn to awesome by fitting
residents with custom in-ground and above
ground swimming pools and spas.
Kevin Roche and his brother, Ken, are
second generation proprietors of The
Pool & Spa Place. Having grown up in
Bethel Park, the Roche family takes
great pride in all things Bethel, and is
proud to operate the family business
in such a wonderful community.
“Bethel Park’s been great to us,”
said Kevin Roche. “I graduated from
Bethel Park, played football and wrestled for
the school district. Our dad was president
of the booster club, and we’ve always been
active in the community. We go out of our
way to hire Bethel Park graduates who are
home from college on their summer breaks,
because that’s the time when they need work
and we’re at our busiest.”
Although The Pool & Spa Place has
small-town pride and values, the services
are as advanced as they come. The store
offers advanced products like complete
automation systems for your backyard – you
can control everything from your pool heater
to landscape lights and waterfalls from your
smartphone. Also offered is a pretty unique
“virtual tour” of your project before
workers ever break ground.
“When people decide that they
want a pool, it’s hard for them to
visualize what that pool will look
like in their yard,” Roche said. “We
can take the pool they choose and
images of their yard to construct a
3D walkthrough of what the end product will
look like from any angle. This has been a huge
help to them.”
And whether your yard is large or small,
The Pool & Spa Place has a solution for you.
From custom designed in-ground pools,
to above ground pools to patio design and
installation, The Pool & Spa Place can make
your backyard dream a reality. What’s more,
staff members not only install pools, they
make sure their customers have the tools
they need to enjoy their pools all season long.
“The pools themselves carry lifetime
warranties, and I’ve never known a steel-wall,
in-ground pool to fail. Pools with polymer
walls have the potential to last several
lifetimes,” Roche said. “And we assess each
homeowner’s yard to incorporate the best
filtration system for them. If they have a lot
of trees where leaves pose a problem, we can
install the appropriate filter for that. We also
offer maintenance services to our customers,
which leaves all the work to us. And if we see
a problem, we let them know and offer to fix
it before it gets out of hand.”
The Pool & Spa Place installs and
services pools throughout the South Hills
of Pittsburgh and Washington County.
Employees retain annual certifications on
chemical treatments and water chemistry so
that you can be sure your pool will stay as
sparkling as the day you first dove in.
