K
ati Lightholder has already
experienced success in her
young entertainment career,
and she, along with her husband Blake
Lightholder, are now moving on to their
second web series, called “Jack & Emma.”
A Bethel Park High School graduate
of 2000, Lightholder went on to study
communication arts, with an emphasis
in video production, at Allegheny
College. Her husband, Blake, graduated
from Canon-McMillan High School in
2000 as well, and then went on to study
communication and business at Grove
City College. Kati has already found
success in the entertainment industry
when she produced a web series called
“The Mercury Men,” back in 2007 which
was later picked up by SyFy.com.
But that was not enough for her. With
her early success, she has continued
to hone her artful craft, and has most
recently joined up with her partner in life,
as well as in entertainment, to create a
new project.
For the past year, Kati and Blake
Lightholder have been writing and
producing their new web series called
“Jack & Emma,” marking the first time
that the Lightholders have worked
professionally together. Seeing as they
work well tackling the obstacles of life and
marriage in the real world, they decided
they would team up in the entertainment
industry as well.
“We had never worked on anything
together before, and it has proven to be
an amazing experience with an occasional
heated creative discussion,” said a joking
Kati. Her “occasional” reads more like
“frequent,” but she believes that their
pairing has been a good combination in
all aspects of their lives together. She
touts that Blake’s background and skill in
writing, combined with her background
in producing and acting, have led to a
good combination of skills that they will
utilize in “Jack and Emma.”
The Lightholders started creating “Jack
& Emma” to combat the entertainment
industry’s flux of crudeness that seems
to entail a significant amount of sexuality
and violence in to
