The Allegheny County Health Department announced that its list of registered master plumbers is now available on its website at http://webapps.achd.net/Plumbing. “We put this information online to make our database more accessible so it would be easier for the public to find and verify registered master plumbers,” said Health Director Dr. Karen Hacker. The website provides an alphabetical listing of all 1,086 registered master plumbers who are licensed to work in Allegheny County. In addition, the database can be searched by name, five-digit HP ID (Health Permit Identification Number) or zip code. The Health Department regulates plumbing installations to protect public health and permits are required to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish or change occupancy of a building or structure. Only a registered master plumber with a current plumbing license or the owner/ occupant of an existing single family dwelling may apply for a plumbing permit from the Health Department. SMITH OPENS SATELLITE OFFICE IN SOUTH PARK TO SERVE SOUTH HILLS RESIDENTS State Senator Matt Smith announced that he will open a satellite office in South Park to serve constituents in the township and nearby communities. “The South Park office will provide another convenient option for constituents of the South Hills,” Smith said. “By partnering with the township, we will be able to assist area residents at a familiar and accessible location.” Smith’s satellite office is located in the Administrative Building of the South Park Municipal Complex at 2675 Brownsville
