ALLEGHENY COUNTY
AVAILABLE ONLINE
Ms. Kulzer-Love is the
owner of Love Appraisal
Services and a resident of
Bethel Park.
The Allegheny County Health Department
announced that its list of registered master
plumbers is now available on its website at
http://webapps.achd.net/Plumbing.
“We put this information online to make
our database more accessible so it would
be easier for the public to find and verify
registered master plumbers,” said Health
Director Dr. Karen Hacker.
The website provides an alphabetical listing
of all 1,086 registered master plumbers who
are licensed to work in Allegheny County.
In addition, the database can be searched
by name, five-digit HP ID (Health Permit
Identification Number) or zip code.
The Health Department regulates plumbing
installations to protect public health and
permits are required to construct, enlarge,
alter, repair, move, demolish or change
occupancy of a building or structure.
Only a registered master plumber with a
current plumbing license or the owner/
occupant of an existing single family
dwelling may apply for a plumbing permit
from the Health Department.
Registered master plumbers must complete
a minimum of four years or 8,000 hours of
work experience as an apprentice employed
by a master plumber and 576 hours of
training at an accredited school in order to
apply for the journeyman plumber exam
given by the Health Department and then
after achieving journeyman plumber status
must complete an additional two years of
work experience under the employ of a
master plumber in order to apply for the
master plumber exam given by the Health
Department.
