1781 CLUB ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING OF NEW CLUBHOUSE
1781 Club , in the rolling hills of Peters Township , announced the grand opening of its new clubhouse , featuring two fullservice restaurants , two cocktail lounges , and four indoor golf lounges overlooking its picturesque 18-hole golf course . While open to the public , members enjoy priority golf and dining reservations , fun-filled member events , and access to the Farmers Dining Room and Lounge where Chef Janine Falvo ’ s culinary team will delight the palate with seasonal farm-to-table fare . TREEHAVEN GARDEN CLUB ANNUAL PLANT SALE
Treehaven Garden Club in Bethel Park will be holding its annual Plant Sale on Saturday , May 13 , from 8 a . m . to noon , on the sidewalk in front of Rite Aid at South Park Shops , located at 5209 Library Road . Hanging flower baskets from Lenik Greenhouse will be sold , along with many potted perennials at very reasonable prices . Plants are from members ’ very own gardens ! These could make great Mother ’ s Day gifts .
Treehaven Garden Club meets monthly to stimulate a knowledge and love of all growing plants . The group maintains the garden area in front of the Papa John ’ s entrance to South Park , and meets on the last Tuesday of each month , September through April , at 7 p . m . in various members ’ homes . There is a program and business meeting each month along with occasional workshops and garden tours as opportunities arise .

PITTSBURGH OPERA TO HOLD INAUGURAL SUMMER CAMP IN JULY
The new camp will take place July 10-21 . The summer camp , called Bravo Academy , is designed for high school students who are interested in opera and other performing arts .
Participants will receive invaluable hands-on experience with leading industry professionals and performers . Each instructor is a specialist in the field , selected to offer participants a broad , accurate view of the world of opera .
All participants will take fun and engaging classes , participate in exclusive workshops with Pittsburgh Opera staff , engage in master classes with industry luminaries and master teachers , and more . The classes include :
• Opera Fan Fiction
• Opera in Motion
• Opera Culture
• Behind the Curtain
• Opera Achievement
• Improv Acting
• Opera Scenes Space is also available for participants interested in scenic / costume design , stage direction , and various other creative and production-related areas .
Bravo Academy will culminate with a professional showcase performance by the participants , at the Bitz Opera Factory on Friday , July 21 , at 7 p . m . Performers will show off the skills they ’ ve learned in scenes selected especially for them . Family and friends can attend .

Library materials are available to Bethel Park residents who are unable to get to the library , either temporarily or permanently . Once a month , staff will select and deliver materials directly to your home and pick up returns . KEYNOTES MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION
Keynotes is accepting applications for its music scholarship competition , which will be held May 13 at the Fine Arts Theatre of Mt . Lebanon High School . Cash awards totaling up to $ 12,000 will be available .
Requirements : Instrumentalists must be under 26 years of age by June 1 , 2023 , and vocalists must be under the age of 30 . The student must be a full-time music major at a college , university or music school or a graduating high school senior accepted for admission as a full-time music major .
