Located in McMurray, the facility
was designed and built by owner Mark
Mortland to encompass every critical
stage of treatment—from the initial
patient assessment through recovery to
the recommendation of a maintenance
plan.
Mark Mortland, PT, ATC, believes that
his team’s emphasis on providing an
exceptional patient experience is one of
the primary reasons so many area doctors
refer their patients to Mortland Physical
Therapy and Sports Medicine. He is also “weekend warriors” and individuals of all
ages experiencing major or minor injuries
or surgeries.
The physical therapists at Mortland
tailor treatment plans to each patient’s
specific needs and fully leverage the
state-of-the-art facilities available at the
10,000-square-foot clinic. In addition to
being well-trained and educated, these
therapists have the unique perspective
of experiencing the benefits of physical
therapy first hand as patients and
athletes.
Owner Mark Mortland has treated
thousands of patients in the Pittsburgh
area during his career of 30+ years. Each
honored and thankful to be recognized
by current and former patients who have
recommended his clinic to their friends
and family.
Mortland Physical Therapy and Sports
Medicine has provided comprehensive
treatment to a wide variety of patients
with orthopedic conditions, ranging from
high school and collegiate athletes to of his patients benefits from the same
specialized treatment he delivered to
professional athletes and Olympians
during his 16-year tenure as Head Trainer
and Physical Therapist for the Pittsburgh
Penguins.
The Mortland team also includes
physical therapists Rebecca Campbell,
PT, DPT, SCS, and Nicholas Lopez, PT,
DPT. Campbell earned her doctorate of
physical therapy from Regis University in
Denver, CO, after earning her bachelor
of science in Science-Business from the
University of Notre Dame. Lopez is a
graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University,
where he earned his doctorate of
physical therapy, and Shenandoah
University, earning his bachelor of
science in Biology. The staff also includes
physical therapist assistants Jim Love
and Christine Renz. Love graduated from
Penn State University with a bachelor
of science degree in Kinesiology and
California University of Pennsylvania with
an associate in applied science. Renz
graduated from California University of
Pennsylvania with an associate degree
in applied science. Office manager Carol
Stasicha rounds out the Mortland staff.
ATHLETIC CLUB
Mortland Physical Therapy and Sports
Medicine offers memberships to the
adjoining Peters Township Athletic Club.
The club promotes health and fitness
to residents throughout the South Hills,
offering an extensive range of fitness
equipment and certified trainers to help
members achieve their fitness goals.
INSURANCE AND LOCATION
Mortland Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine is considered “in-network” by the
majority of major insurance carriers. Mortland PT offers Direct Access allowing physical
therapy services without a referral/prescription from a physician for the first 30 days of
physical therapy treatment. Mortland Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine is located
