regulation, which applies to all residents
and schools of Allegheny County, is
meant to boost early detection and
treatment of lead poisoning and reduce
the incidence, impact, and cost of the
problem. It also will enhance countywide
surveillance of childhood lead poisoning.

WOMEN’S GOLF
OPPORTUNITIES IN
THE SOUTH HILLS
Fairway Swingers
Are you a woman interested in
playing golf in a fun, non-competitive
environment? Then consider joining
Fairway Swingers, a women’s golf league
that plays weekly at the Mt. Lebanon Golf
Course. Every Thursday from April 5
through most of October, the group plays
9 holes, starting anytime between 7:30
and 9 a.m. A round of golf usually takes
about 2 to 2.5 hours. Ladies of all golfing
abilities are welcome and you don’t
have to have playing partners. There are
some fun events throughout the year – a
day away (playing a course other than
Mt. Lebanon), mixers, a picnic, and some
tournaments.
Dues for the year are $22 and members
also pay green and cart fees, which
for 2018 will be $22 (under age 62)
or $18 (age 62 and over). You do not
have to be a Mt. Lebanon resident to
join. For questions and membership
information contact Marilyn Goodwill at
[email protected].
Women’s Golf Association of
Mt. Lebanon
Women’s Golf Association of
Mt. Lebanon invites you to play every
Tuesday from April through September.
Membership is open to all women, all skill
levels, residents and non-residents. For
more information call Sharon Ackerman
at 412.480.3319. ■
