SCIENCE TEACHER FEATURED IN DOE FILM
The United States Department of Energy asked Bethel Park High School Science Teacher Barbara Eisel to participate in a training film that the D. O. E. was making to show in schools in Hawaii.
The film described how to organize and train teams of students to participate in the Science Bowl Competition, and encouraged teachers to form their own team of students to compete in this nationally renowned event.
Mrs. Eisel was selected because she is the female science teacher in Southwest Pennsylvania who has coached Science Bowl teams for the longest number of years( 10).
The Department of Energy interviewed her at Bethel Park High School for inclusion in the film.

Both teachers were nominated by Franklin Fourth Grade Teacher Katherine Meucci, who was a Finalist for the 2017 PA Teacher of the Year.

They respect and admire her willingness to share her knowledge, time, and countless resources she develops. She is an invaluable asset for professional development.”
As for Mrs. Crowley, Mrs. Meucci writes:“ Mrs. Crowley has a wonderful rapport with people of all ages, especially children.
