It celebrates breastfeeding but also highlights the importance of community support. Everyone is welcome at this free, family-friendly event! There will be food trucks, a LuLaRoe pop- up, balloon artist, crafts and activities for kids, and more! Everyone who attends will receive a free nursing bra (while supplies last)! There will be goody bags for the first 50 attendees, door prizes, and a raffle with some wonderful items to win! VIEHMAN WINS WESTINGHOUSE SCHOLARSHIP As of July 1, the late fee on all library materials is 25 cents per day. Fees have not changed much since the early 1980s. This change is a decrease in late fees for items such as DVDs but an increase for items like children’s books. As always, you may borrow any item from the library for FREE for either seven days (DVDs, new books and some specialty items) or 21 days. Jessica hopes to specialize in Transportation Infrastructure and Systems Engineering (TISE). She is passionate about improving the technological advancements of our roadways. She already has a patent on a new type of geo-polymer concrete mix that harvests solar energy and converts it into heat on dark roadways. ST. YOUTH SERVICES ASSISTANT POSITION AVAILABLE The Bethel Park Public Library is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic individual to fill a front-line, patron-centered position of Youth Services Library Assistant. As the first face our patrons will see upon entering the department, candidates will exude happiness and be eager to greet patrons in a warm and friendly manner. Additionally, applicants should be knowledgeable about the library organization and aware of the services offered. Candidates should be comfortable with the online catalog as well as the library’s databases. Responsibilities include answering phones, checking materials in and out, helping patrons locate materials, and making sure classes and services are well-known and utilized. This is a part-time (20 hrs/wk.) evening (5-9) and Saturday (9-5) position. Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent plus knowledge of children’s literature and library services to children and teens. Must be 18 years of age or older. Starting wage is $8.60/hr.
