She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science ( Agriculture ) and grew up on a small grazing property at Corowa . Her career highlights include winning the Australian Cotton Grower of the Year Award in 2017 and being part of a family farming business that strives for excellence in all areas . Cavaso Farming has also expanded its property and water assets . In addition to being able to produce food and fibre to world class standards , Mrs Toscan said she loves how the agriculture sector is always innovative . This includes continually striving for better and more efficient outcomes . While farmers face many challenges , Mrs Toscan said the big issues are water buybacks , high electricity prices and reliability of electricity , rising costs of inputs , attracting and retaining staff , along with stock commodity prices . Mrs Toscan said she is looking forward to providing a different perspective on the ABA board . When she isn ’ t working on the farm Mrs Toscan enjoys spending time with her four children and travelling .
