From page 29 Craig was impressed with the whole process , including being able to hire the recoil machine . “ The timeframe of rolling up the dripline was good , two people rolled up six or seven hectares of dripline in a day ," he said . Netafim also seeks to provide safer and more efficient solutions for larger farms . Their mobile bailing solution is an option for clients with large stockpiles of recoiled dripline that can be difficult and time consuming to handle . As the importance of recycling agricultural plastics gains traction , Government support may be available to make Netafim Recoil more accessible . The National Agricultural Plastics Stewardship Scheme is working to develop a viable market to recycle agricultural plastics , including dripline . A pilot program , run by agricultural consultancy RMGC , is currently in effect in North-Eastern Victoria , with pick-up locations in Mildura , Swan Hill , and Ouyen until October . After this time , a broader scheme will be developed with the potential to collect agricultural plastics in all regions .

On behalf of Riverland clients , Netafim has secured rebates from the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board in South Australia . The rebate is set at 12.5 cents per kilogram and is capped at $ 500 per irrigator to ensure equitable distribution between large and small businesses . For more information please contact Netafim ’ s Recoil Coordinator , Uma Preston on 0452 537 266 , email recoil @ netafim . com or visit the website netafim . com . au .
